(DONT MAKE YOUR WAVE FILE MORE THEN 330 KB AS. 2.rename it 5080 if you are uesing english version of windows 7 united statse language,so your audio. One observation I have made when I DISABLED fast-boot. 1.select an audio file of your choice and make sure you convert it to a wave file not just wav. I did a Windows 7->10 upgrade rather than a fresh install so it saved the media files. ![]() ![]() Enabling them in the registry, going into the Sounds control panel they are set correctly to what they were with Windows 7. Enable Windows Startup Sound Right-click on the Sound icon in your system tray, found in the taskbar, and then choose Sounds from the context menu. You would need to disable that option to fully shutdown your system and then you should get a sound when starting windows, which is not worth it if you ask me.I too am fighting the logon and shutdown lack of sound on Windows 10. This is why you get no sound, because Windows 10 doesn't have the option for logging in and out sounds, which it is what you are doing when the "fast startup" option is enabled (it is, by default). As far as I understand, in order to get faster boot times Windows 10 doesn't completely shut down your computer but instead merely sends it into hybernation and then cuts off power. ![]()
